Why "one credit per vote" rather than per cast ballot?
+−
Because the platform commits to every registered voter: personal link, voting key, a place in the register and the attendance sheet, whether they vote or not. The credit covers that possible vote. A voter weighted at 50 shares counts as a single credit.
Do credits expire? Are they refundable?
+−
They never expire. They are not refunded either: a credit debited when an election opens stays consumed, even if the election is cancelled afterwards.
Can I make an already-finished election Official?
+−
Yes. The credits matching its electoral roll are debited when you mark it, and you immediately get its platform certificates and the download of its signatures.
Do I need an account?
+−
For a free election, no: a simple administration code is enough. For an Official election, yes: credits belong to an account. An election created without an account can be linked to one, then marked Official.
What exactly does the platform guarantee cover?
+−
Three commitments: lifetime retention of the election and its proofs; platform-signed certificates matching the blockchain signatures and the final result; and, in case of dispute, all the legal and technical assistance needed: participation, attestations, supporting material.
Is the public register reserved for Official elections?
+−
No. Every election publishes its register: ballots, attendance, blocks and hashes stay available and recountable by anyone. Only the download of the platform's signature files is reserved for Official elections.
What about election groups, non-anonymous voting and nominative participation?
+−
Reserved for Official elections. An election group only holds Official elections (each debited at its own opening), and non-anonymous voting, nominative participation and weighted voting can only be enabled, at creation, on an Official election.
What happens when the electoral roll grows?
+−
Each voter added to an Official election consumes one more credit at the time they are added. Your account must therefore hold the necessary balance.
